When Vitangelo migrated with his family to Australia back in the 1960s, he brought with him centuries-old recipes, unique to Southern Italy and the art of traditional food making.

A legacy well transferred and not misplaced in his descendant’s hands. Their loyal clientele includes a range of Australia-wide pizza outlets, food service distributors and manufacturers.

Michael and Vito start the production of handcrafted salami and cured meats

After Nick and Chris’s hard work in the 1990s to build and power up the new facility in Laverton North, another generation comes along with new ideas and spirit.

It’s the moment of Vito and Michael who, armed with their passion, energy and vision, conceived the Puopolo Artisan Salami business unit with the aim of producing a series of handcrafted salami and air-cured meats by going back in time using traditional methods and ingredients.

The NEW Puopolo offers gourmet air-dried salami and cured meats made according to the most authentic artisan method which guarantees a mouthwatering, healthy and genuine outcome.
