How we work
At Puopolo, we honour our Italian heritage by creating salumi through traditional methods, collaboration and meticulous craftsmanship. Our ‘made slow’ philosophy ensures a level of care than makes salumi of exceptional quality and taste.
Frequently asked questions
What is the white powder that surrounds some of your salami?
This is a coated layer of natural, edible white mould, similar to what is used to make cheese. It is part of the dry-ageing and fermentation process of salami-making.
What is the best way to store my product once opened?
Once opened, we recommend removing the salami from its packaging and wrapping gently in a kitchen towel or baking paper and leaving in the fridge. Do not seal in cling film as the product will sweat, creating moisture, and you want your salami to stay dry.
Are your products gluten-free?
Yes, all our products are gluten free, endorsed by Coeliac Australia.
Are your products dairy free?
Yes, our products are dairy free and contain no dairy-based ingredients.
Are your Halal products certified?
Yes, our range of halal products are certified and accredited by Al-Iman Islamic society.
Made slow
At Puopolo, we know that the best things in life are done slowly. Whether it's a home cooked meal, a heartfelt conversation or crafting our salumi. They all require time, care and a commitment to doing things the right way.
