Frequently asked questions
What is the white powder that surrounds some of your salami?
This is a coated layer of natural, edible white mould, similar to what is used to make cheese. It is part of the dry-ageing and fermentation process of salami-making.
What is the best way to store my product once opened?
Once opened, we recommend removing the salami from its packaging and wrapping gently in a kitchen towel or baking paper and leaving in the fridge. Do not seal in cling film as the product will sweat , creating moisture, and you want your salami to stay dry.
Are your products gluten-free?
Yes, all our products are gluten free, endorsed by Coeliac Australia.
Are your products dairy free?
Yes, our products are dairy free and contain no dairy-based ingredients.
Are your Halal products certified?
Yes, our range of halal products are certified and accredited by Al-Iman Islamic society.
Made slow
At Puopolo, we know that the best things in life are done slowly. Whether it's a home cooked meal, a heartfelt conversation or crafting our salumi. They all require time, care and a commitment to doing things the right way.
